This web-site is dedicated to Shri Madhavrao Sadashivrao Golwalkar. Affectionately known as Shri Guruji, he was second Sarsanghachalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). This web-site aims to highlight the multi-faceted personality of Shri Golwalkar Guruji. It provides a glimpse into his thoughts on various social and national issues concerning Hindus. Fittingly, this web-site has been launched on 24th February 2006 (Magha krushna 11, Vijaya Ekadashi, shaka 1927) which marks the beginning of his birth-centenary.
This site was formally inaugurated in the Akhil Bhartiya Pratinidhi Sabha of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, RSS. The Pratinidhi Sabha was held in Reshimbaug, Nagpur. The function took place at about 11am (first session of the Pratinidhi Sabha) on 24th February 2006 (Magha krushna 11, Vijaya Ekadashi, shaka 1927).
Pujaniya K.S. Sudarshanji, Sarsanghachalak RSS, inaugurated the web-site http://www.golwalkarguruji.org/
Same evening, Param Pujaniya Shri Guruji Janmashatabdi was officially inaugurated in a huge function. The function was held in Reshimbaug Nagpur. It was well-attended by dignitaries, stalwarts and swayamsevaks. The web-sites were mentioned in proceedings of the function.
The birth-centenary will be celebrated in the form of various functions throughout the year. All these functions are aimed at reaching out to all sections of our society, bringing them together and tying them in a single thread of Samarasataa and Ekaatmataa.
Dr. Hedgewar started Sangh with a small Shakha in Mohite's courtyard in Nagpur. By 1940, when Dr. Hedgewar breathed his last, Sangh shakhas were established in every corner of Bharat. Guruji took it forward, made them stronger and at the same time made sure that Sangh touched all facets of our national life. He sent out swayamsevaks to various walks of life and who in turn built credible organizations under his able guidance, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh and Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad to name a few. Thus, what Dr. Hedgewar presented in a concise form, the sutra of shakha, Shri Guruji applied, elaborated and made it all-encompassing which continues to serve as the light-house for all swayamsevaks and karyakartas serving various walks of our national life.
We all, swayamsevaks, have a desire to pay tributes to Shri Golwalkar Guruji on his birth-centenary and this web-site is a small gesture.
We aim to provide a platform for knowledge exchange and we also aim to bring together everyone who cares for this nation and Hindu way of life, to share their thoughts on this web-site. Your constructive feedback and opinion (link to discussion forums) on various issues is highly appreciated.
This web-site also promises to provide a platform for publishing literary work on Shri Golwalkar Guruji and Sangh. Everyone is invited to submit their articles and we promise to provide you space on this web-site.
